TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1. The Installment Instant Treats promo will run from July 1 to September 30, 2021.
     
  2. The promo is open to all existing China Bank Credit Card Cardholders* (“Cardholders”): whose accounts are active, current, and in good credit standing* with active and updated mobile number on record.
    Note: Officers of China Bank not eligible to join the promo
     
  3. For a minimum single-receipt installment transaction of Php25,000 with tenor of 12 months and up in any CBC installment partner merchant, the Cardholder will be entitled to a Dining|Shopping Treat worth Php1,000.00.
     
  4. The Dining|Shopping Treat worth Php1,000.00 will be sent via an e-code to the qualified Cardholder thru his/her mobile number on record and can be redeemed once and in full at any branch of the following participating merchants.

    Shopping The SM Store, and S&R Shopping Credit e-codes may be exchanged for Gift Certificates at the Customer Service Counters or Bills counter section of the Store.
    Shopping Power Mac Center Shopping Credit e-codes will be treated as tender/payment or good as cash. NO release of GCs will be done.
    Dining The Bistro Group, and BonChon Shopping Credit e-codes will be treated as tender/payment or good as cash. NO release of GCs will be done.

  5. The e-code will be sent within ten (10) banking days from posting date of the qualified transaction and will be valid for redemption 60 days from date of sending.  The e-Codes will NOT be sent to Cardholders with past due accounts including, but not limited to, those with late payment occurrence or no payment on due date.
     
  6. Splitting of transaction shall be deemed fraudulent and shall not be eligible for the promo. Splitting is defined as an intentional act of dividing a retail or merchant transaction into multiple charge slips to redeem more than one promo treat. Only one (1) qualified transaction at the same merchant on the same day will qualify for the promo.
     
  7. The SMS e-code will have the following information: (a) last 4 digits of the China Bank Credit Card used, (b) e-code number and; (c) e-code expiry.
     
  8. The e-Codes will only be sent once by China Bank to the qualified Cardholder. Cardholders should ensure that their mobile number is updated with China Bank and is active/activated during the promo period to ensure receipt of Shopping Credit e-Codes.  As such, China Bank shall not be liable for e-Codes not received by Cardholders due to failure of Cardholder to update his/her mobile number on record with China Bank or due to inactive/unactivated mobile number during the promo period. In such cases, China Bank has no obligation to re-send the e-Codes to the Cardholder.  Resending accommodation shall be subject to a fee of P100 to be charged to the Cardholder’s account.  The same e-code information, including expiry, shall be sent.
     
  9. To redeem, the Cardholder must present (a) his/her China Bank Credit Card and (b) the e-Code received via SMS, for proper validation of store personnel. The e-Code presented by the Cardholder in his/her received SMS must be valid (i.e. unredeemed and not expired) at the time of redemption. The last 4-digit of the Credit Card presented and the last 4 digit in the SMS received by the Cardholder with the e-Code must match.
     
  10. China Bank reserves the right to charge the cost of redeemed e-Code to the Cardholder’s account in the following cases: Multiple, invalid, or fraudulent redemption, qualified transaction/s which were used to claim are subsequently filed under dispute by the Cardholder or are reversed. If Cardholder is subsequently proven to have violated any of the promo terms and conditions.
     
  11. The offer cannot be converted to other items, cash or cash credits and cannot be availed in conjunction with other promotion of China Bank Credit Card. In the event that the same transaction gets awarded with multiple promo incentive, the lower promo incentive cost will be charged back to the Cardholder’s account.
     
  12. In case of dispute related to the promo, China Bank's decision, in concurrence with the DTI, will be deemed final and non-negotiable.
     
  13. The Cardholder authorizes China Bank to provide necessary cardholder information to its third-party service  providers to fulfill the sending and redemption of e-Codes and other promo mechanics.
     
  14. The terms and conditions governing the issuance and use of China Bank Credit Cards and 0% Merchant Installment Program are incorporated herein by reference and made integral hereof.
     
  15. The Cardholder confirms that he/she has read, understood, and agrees to be bound by the mechanics of the promo.  To opt-out of the promo, the Cardholder may contact China Bank Customer Service.

*Cardholders in good credit standing are those whose accounts are active and current and not delinquent/past due or under investigation due to suspected fraudulent activities, those whose Credit Cards are not reported lost or stolen and not part of any special payment installment arrangement, and those who have not otherwise, violated any of the Terms and Conditions governing China Bank Credit Cards.

In compliance with BSP DOSRI rules, employees with rank of Assistant Manager and up are required to pay their Credit Card Statement Balance in full and are not allowed to avail of any installment facilities.
