You will receive an email confirmation from cbctrustmobile@chinabank.ph with MBK-UITF Terms and Conditions, 24 hours (or next banking day), after adding your UITF account online. Reply to accept the Terms and Conditions so we can process your request. You will receive an SMS and Email confirmation once your Add Account request is approved.

  • The UITF is not a deposit and is not insured by the Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation (PDIC).
  • Returns cannot be guaranteed and historical NAVPU is for illustration of NAVPU movements/ fluctuations only.
  • When redeeming, the proceeds may be worth less than the original investment and any losses will be solely for the account of the client.
  • The Trustee is not liable for any loss unless upon willful default, bad faith, or gross negligence.
Frequently Asked Questions
Adding and viewing UITFs
1. I have an existing UITF account, but I don’t have a China Bank Mobile App account yet. How can I sign-up and add my UITF account?

Enroll your deposit and UITF accounts on China Bank Mobile App following these steps:

  1. Download the China Bank Mobile App from the App Store or Google Play Store.
  2. Tap sign-up and follow the deposit account online enrollment process.
  3. Once you have successfully enrolled your deposit account, you may already add your UITF accounts.


2. When can I view my added UITF account?

After adding your UITF account, you will need to accept the Terms and Conditions via email. Please check your registered email inbox and look for the email from cbctrustmobile@chinabank.ph containing the Terms and Conditions.

After the acceptance of the Terms and Conditions, you will receive an email and SMS confirming your add account request has been approved.

3. I do not have any UITF account yet, can I open online using China Bank Mobile App?

No. To open a new UITF account, please visit the nearest China Bank branch

4. We have a joint UITF account. Can we both add our joint UITF account to our respective China Bank Mobile App account?

No. Only the UITF “Primary Holder” may add the UITF account to his or her China Bank Mobile App account. The “Primary Holder” is the person whose name is indicated first under Trustor's Name in the Participating Trust Agreement (PTA) or Omnibus Participating Trust Agreement (OPTA).

5. I have UITFs under an Investment Management Account (IMA). Can I enroll it on the China Bank Mobile App?

No. At this time, only direct UITF investments are accepted for enrollment.

6. Can I add closed UITF account on China Bank Mobile App if it still appears in the Add Account options?

No. Only active UITF accounts can be accepted for enrollment.

7. How can I view my outstanding UITF holdings on China Bank Mobile App?

You may view your outstanding UITF holdings following these steps:

  1. Select My Account then tap UITF Account
  2. Select the UITF variant that you would like to view

The amount displayed is the product of your outstanding number of units multiplied by the latest NAVPu. To find more details about your UITF investment, such as the Unrealized Gain, or Return on Investment (ROI), just click on the specific UITF variant.

Subscribing for more units
1. How do I make additional subscriptions to my UITF account?

To subscribe to more units, follow these steps:

  1. Select My Account from the post log-in menu
  2. Select the UITF account and tap the variant that you want to add more units to
  3. Select a source account where additional investment amount will be debited
  4. Confirm your subscription and input the OTP sent to your registered mobile number

You will then receive confirmations for your subscription in the China Bank Mobile App, registered mobile number and email account.

2. How much is the minimum UITF investment?

The minimum amount to invest is PHP1,000 for Peso-denominated UITFs while $100 for Dollar-denominated UITFs.

3. If I subscribe after 12noon Philippine Standard Time (PST) on a banking day, on weekends, or holidays, when will my units be posted?

Your subscription order after the 12noon (PST) cut-off, on weekends, or holidays will be posted on the next banking day.

Note though that your selected Savings/ Checking Account will be debited as soon as the OTP is submitted in the China Bank Mobile App.

4. I have an existing UITF account and want to subscribe to another variant of China Bank’s UITFs. Can I use China Bank Mobile App to do this?

No. Please visit the nearest China Bank Branch of account to subscribe to another UITF variant.

Redeeming from UITF accounts
1. If I redeem after 12noon (PST) on a banking day, on weekends, or holidays, when will my redemption proceeds be credited?

Your redemption made after the 12noon (PST) cut-off, on weekends or on holidays will be posted as an order for the next banking day.

Please note that your selected Savings/ Checking Account will be credited depending on the Settlement Date of the specific UITF variant.  Please check our UITF pages to find out about the Settlement Dates.

To illustrate:

Transaction: Redeem from China Bank Short-Term Fund
Redeem Date/Time in China Bank Mobile App: 29 April 2022 (Friday), 2PM
Redeem Order Date (T): 02 May 2022 (Monday)
Settlement Date: T+1 banking day
Credit Date: 03 May 2022

2. How can I redeem my UITF investments?

To redeem, follow these steps:

  1. Select My Account from the post log-in menu then tap UITF account
  2. Select the variant that you want to redeem or redeem from
  3. Choose the Savings/ Checking Account where the proceeds will be credited
  4. Confirm your redemption by inputting the OTP sent to your registered number.

You will then receive confirmations for your redemption in the China Bank Mobile App, registered mobile number and email account.

3. What are my redemption options?

There are two modes of redeeming, partial or full.

  1. In partial redemption, you can select amount or number of units.
    1. For Amount, the inputted amount should not result in the remaining fund value to fall below the minimum maintaining balance.
    2. For Units, the inputted number of units should not result in the equivalent fund value to fall below the minimum maintaining balance.
      Note: Should the applicable NAVPu on Redeem Order Date be lower than the NAVPu on Redeem Date in the China Bank Mobile App, and will result in the remaining fund value to fall below the minimum maintaining balance, your outstanding number of units will be fully redeemed.
  2. In full redemption, the number of outstanding units will be automatically displayed.


4. I redeemed all the units from my UITF account, but the amount credited is different from the market value reflected in the China Bank Mobile App.

Final redemption proceeds are computed based on the applicable end-of-day NAVPu for the chosen Fund Type. The market value of your UITF reflected in the China Bank Mobile App is based on the latest available NAVPu as of the date indicated.

To view the daily Fund NAVPu, you may visit the China Bank website, www.chinabank.ph.

5. I want to redeem all the units in my UITF account. Will my UITF account be closed immediately after I redeem?

No. The UITF account will remain open until there are no units subscribed for at least ninety (90) days.

6. Can I redeem a specific lot from my UITF investment?

A specific lot cannot be redeemed as the redemption process follows a First-In, First-Out (FI-FO) Methodology.

7. What happens when I redeem my UITF investment within the holding period?

There is an Early Redemption Fee that will be subtracted from your redemption proceeds. Please check our UITF pages to find out about the Early Redemption Fees which varies depending on the UITF variant.

1. How do I track my previous UITF subscriptions/redemptions?

You may use the Mini Statement and Transaction History to view your previous UITF subscriptions/redemptions.

2. Where can I find my UITF Statements?

UITF Statements/Advices for subscriptions and redemptions done in the China Bank Mobile App will be sent to the registered email address in the mobile app. For security purposes, China Bank will only send password-protected UITF Statements.

3. How can I change the registered email address for my UITF Statements?

To update your registered email address, please go to your nearest China Bank Branch and duly accomplish a Trust Instruction Sheet. We shall effect the change within three (3) banking days.

4. How soon will my Remove Account request be processed?

Your request to remove account is subject to review. Kindly check your China Bank Mobile App after 24 hours (or next banking day) to check the status of your request.

5. Are there transaction charges when subscribing/redeeming UITFs using China Bank Mobile App?

There are NO transaction charges when making UITF subscription/redemptions.

6. The Savings/Current Account from/to which I want my subscription/redemption be debited/credited does not appear among the Savings Account/Checking Account options in the China Bank Mobile App. What should I do?

To add your preferred Savings/Current Account for your investment subscription/ redemption, please follow Add Account instructions in item no. 1.
